Children registering for these classes should have reached the specified age by July 1 for Fall and January 1 for Spring Semester.
Kindermusik Village
(Newborn to 18 months)
Designed for infants (lap babies, "crawlers," "walkers," all stages!) accompanied by a parent or other adult caregiver, this program introduces multiple levels of developmentally appropriate activities for babies within the given age range. In class, infants will experience both vestibular (ear and balance-oriented) and visceral (gut and heart) stimulation. Each class will include gathering time, lots of interaction, a wide range of experience in movement, and special attention to vocal development through play activities. Please join us!

Kindermusik Our Time
(18 months to 3-1/2 years)
Children and parents/caregivers experience together a world of music that includes age-appropriate activities like singing, chanting, movement, and playing musical instruments. All activities aid in the development of language skills and of both large and fine motor coordination. The class assists parents/caregivers in facilitating the process of musical growth in their young children. An orientation meeting is required for parents/caregivers.

Imagine That
(3-1/2 to 4-1/2 years)
Each class in this program uses different themes that allow children to recognize and experience the world around them through music. Children attend independently for 30 minutes, and then parents/caregivers are invited to join for the final 15 minutes. All activities are age-appropriate and include singing, movement, listening, and playing musical instruments.

Kindermusik for the Young Child
(4-1/2 to 7 years)
Kindermusik for the Young Child provides the musical foundations needed for future musical instruction and explores musical styles from various world cultures. In the first year, children develop sensitivity to pitch and rhythm by learning to play a glockenspiel. In the second year, children build and learn to play their own dulcimer in the fall and are introduced to the recorder in the spring. Activities like singing, listening, dancing, ensemble playing, note reading, and musical games encourage children to express themselves through creating. Activities are approached through play and introduce traditional classical works for children such as Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker, Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf, and Mozart's The Magic Flute. "Young Child" is an experience that fosters creativity, imagination, and musicality, patterns of thought that add beauty to our lives and our world!
