Take part in an exciting theatrical experience as each student has the opportunity to perform challenging music for his/her level as you present scenes from several well-known operas, operettas, and musical theater productions. The following talented Camp Coordinators and vocalists with substantial backgrounds in teaching and performing will assist students in developing vocal skills and artistry through participation in daily warm-ups, rehearsals, presentations, and coachings:

The camp culminates in a performance for family and friends.

Camp Highlights

Daily musical clinics including performance, history, and costumes.

Close interaction with professional artist faculty.

Explore the intricacies of stagecraft by preparing staging and props.

Introduction to auditions and college preparation.

Ensembles formed on the basis of the students' performance abilities.

Prerequisite
Open to intermediate and advanced Voice students with at least one year of vocal training or musical experience.

Ensemble Placement Auditions
Call 732-932-8618 by May 15 to schedule an audition time to be placed in ensembles based on your level. Students must be registered before auditioning.

Schedule
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Students have the choice to be a commuter or a boarder. Overnight accommodations are available in the Cook Campus apartments with the Opera Camp faculty chaperones.

Commuters
Includes tuition and catered lunch Monday to Friday.
Before May 15: $550
After May 15: $575

Boarders
Includes tuition, room and board.
Before May 15: $750
After May 15: $775

A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due with the application. The balance is due by June 1st. Registrations received after May 15th must pay in full.
