Makeup Lessons:
There are no makeup lessons or classes for absences on the part of the student
even if the student calls in advance. This includes lessons or classes missed due to
illness, vacation, sporting events, etc.
However, if a teacher cancels a lesson or class or if
RCMP closes due to inclement weather, lessons or classes will be made up on an
alternate date convenient to both the teacher and student.
Refunds:
Students are registered and must pay for an entire semester. If the student
cancels lessons before the end of a semester, no refund will be issued and the
student is responsible for paying the full tuition for the entire semester.
Exceptions may be made in cases of extended illness, medical emergencies, or
religious holidays. The Director will review requests for refunds on a
case-by-case basis. Refunds will be issued if lessons were not made up from an
absence on the teacher’s part or credited for the next semester. Refunds take up
to six weeks to be processed.
Registration:
Initial payment is due upon registration. Students may choose to pay in full or to use
the payment plan in which a $16.00 fee is incurred. Invoices will be mailed monthly for those
on the payment plan. No student is considered enrolled and will not be given a scheduled lesson
time until a signed registration form is on file and payment is made for the current semester.
There will be a fee of $10.00 for all returned
checks. Students may not register for the next semester without paying off any past balances. RCMP reserves the right to
discontinue the instruction of any student whose account is past due.
Changes in Student Information:
Once a student has filled out the initial registration form,
it is the responsiblity of the student to notify the RCMP office in writing if there are any changes to his/her
address, telephone number, email address, contact information, or other pertinent information.
Cancellations:
RCMP reserves the right to
cancel classes with insufficient enrollment. A full tuition refund will be
issued to those registered.
Enrollment:
RCMP offers rolling enrollment
for its Fall, Spring, and Summer sessions. Private lessons are pro-rated from
the first scheduled lesson. Group lessons are not pro-rated. While no audition
is required, an interview with RCMP staff is recommended to select the teacher
best suited to a student’s needs. Lesson times are arranged by the office
staff.
Non-discrimination:
RCMP does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, age, gender, sexual
orientation, disability, marital or veteran status.
Parking:
Students cannot park or drop off in lot 6 surrounding McKinney Hall.
Cars parked in lot 6 will be ticketed or towed at the owner’s expense.
Parking passes can be purchased from the RCMP office for nearby parking lots
or students can use metered street parking.
