Come join the 6th annual Woodwind Chamber Music Camp with the return of the talented founding faculty who have
extensive teaching and performing backgrounds:
Thomas Buckelew, Camp Coordinator, Master of Music, Saxophone
Kenneth Ellison, Camp Coordinator, Doctor of Musical Arts, Clarinet
Ivy Haga, Camp Coordinator, Doctor of Musical Arts, Basson
Kevin Willois, Camp Coordinator, Master of Music, Flute
Woodwind students come and learn the essentials of good chamber music skills such as blending, balancing, intonation,
cuing, and musicality while playing fun and challenging pieces with your fellow woodwinds. The camp culminates
in a performance for family and friends.
Camp Highlights
- Play challenging music with performance opportunities for everyone.
- Close interaction with professional artist faculty.
- Perform in trios, quartets, quintets, and large ensembles from standard literature.
- Daily clinics and masterclasses on performance, audition issues, history, and theory.
- Ensembles formed on the basis of the students' performance abilities.
Prerequisite
Open to intermediate and advanced Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Oboe, and Bassoon students with at least two
years experience on their instrument.
Ensemble Placement Auditions
Call 732-932-8618 by May 15 to schedule an audition time to be placed in ensembles based on your level. Students
must be registered before auditioning.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This is a day camp only, there are no overnight accommodations.
Tuition
Includes tuition and catered lunch Monday to Friday.
Before May 15: $550
After May 15: $575
A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due with the application. The balance is due by June 1st. Registrations
received after May 15th must pay in full.
